A Smart Design That is Simple and Versatile
What the ROCK HORSE can do:
- The ROCK HORSE out performs the Saw Horse.
- a. The Rock Horse has 12”, 24”, 30”, 33” 36” and 48” height settings.
- b. It can handle 48” wide plywood when ripping sleeves are used.
- c. When linking two support stands with one 2 x 4 x 16’ board, the ROCK HORSE is expandable up to 16’ while maintaining left and right stability.
- d. Two ROCK HORSE stands can shrink a work surface to an 18” width when necessary.
- The ROCK HORSE out performs the Work Bench. Rarely does a work bench make an appearance on an active construction site. Not so with the Rock Horse.
- a. Having more height settings.
- b. The Rock Horse is not confined to a fixed width as are standard work benches.
- c. The Rock Horse can be moveable by mounting lockable caster wheels while being every bit as sturdy as a conventional bench.
- d. Tear down and set up are a snap with each tubular steel support stand only weighing 33 pounds. (The weight of support stands will vary with material used to build the support stand.)
- ***The ROCK HORSE bench and saw horse can also:
- a. Support its own tool peg board.
- b. Illuminate its own work area with a telescoping 5 goose neck lighting fixture that can be mounted in the obtuse column to provide plenty of lumens to brighten any work space both indoors and outdoors.
- *** Also two ROCK HORSE stands are extremely easy to level on very uneven or sloped ground with the use of common dimensional lumber. There are only three points to level when you level to the highest contact point. Try to level two standard saw horses on a slope, good luck.
- *** The lower height settings are great. As one who has worked in a ditch I can tell you that it is a pain to be climbing up and down to use your tools that are mounted on a conventional saw horse or conventional work bench. With the Rock Horse tools are more accessible.
- The ROCK HORSE as an elevated work platform does not have any fixed widths and it does have multiple height selections making it easy to expand or contract as a work platform to suit the job site requirements. When accessory lockable casters are added it becomes easy to position in nearly every space.
- No need for low level scaffolding as the ROCK HORSE can do that also. With accessory hand rails for added protection. An accessory platform can be offered in different lengths and accessory lockable casters can be added for onsite mobility.
- By removing the ROCK HORSE arm extensions the frame can hold 40 sheets of 1/2” sheet rock which weighs 1,920 lbs. also plywood or other panel material is held at a obtuse easy to work with angle for measuring, marking and cutting. With the arm extensions set at 12 inches high, 20 sheets of 1/2” sheet rock weighing 960 lbs. can be mounted for easy measuring, marking and cutting. Note: The total number of 1/2” sheets of sheet rock that can be put on the extension arms may possibly exceed 20 but it has not been tested greater than 20.
- The ROCK HORSE stand with accessories can be used as a fence post which can stand alone or be linked to other stands and anchored with stakes or sand bags if desired. When linked and on locking casters the Rock Horse can be used as a mobile barricade for sporting events, concerts or anything needing a crowd control barrier.
- The ROCK HORSE can be used as a footbridge and dock cat walk, (yes I said FOOTBRIDGE AND DOCK CAT WALK). The 2 x 2 inch tubular steel frame upright obtuse and vertical beams offers minimal contact area for moving water. When linked one to another and staked into a stream bed or lake bottom the stability is tremendous. The Rock Horse’s ability to have adjustable height extension arms make it ideal for different depths of water. Accessory hand rail or rope supports gives a sure grip to those crossing over water. When being used as a dock cat walk the same features as the footbridge make it ideal for field and stream use by both military and outdoorsman. Other accessories available are mud pads, walking platforms and stakes. Easy to set up and quick to take down and light weight to transport.
- The ROCK HORSE frame with accessory pieces can be used to hang a hammock for comfortable relaxation.
- The ROCK HORSE with accessory pieces can be used for a barbell support for bench presses while offering protection from being pinned under a heavy bar especially when lifting alone.
- The ROCK HORSE can be a parallel bar gym equipment for dips and pull-ups from the plank or seated position.
- The ROCK HORSE with accessories attachment connectors becomes a Solar Panel support frame. One ROCK HORSE can support a single solar panel and two ROCK HORSE support stands can be linked and hold multiple panels.
- The ROCK HORSE can have up to 4 extension arms per unit for free standing shelving.
- The ROCK HORSE can be used as a smart looking base to an industrial style table or kitchen island with modifications to the length of the obtuse support rail and extension arms. These types of changes are within the scope of the patent application.
- Gardeners planting table. The rock horse isn’t afraid of the elements or getting dirty.
- The fifteenth, sixteenth and more uses for the ROCK HORSE are in your imagination or that of your customers who will some day have a need for a support stand for a specific project and the ROCK HORSE will be the solution. The ROCK HORSE is highly adaptable and the patent is written to allow for wide variations in size, material used for construction and angles for the obtuse column. “FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION” another way to say this is “FUNCTION DICTATES FORM” Introducing the Rock Horse which turns this engineering and design fact upside down! Where building is performed there’s now a support stand that single handedly can replace the Saw Horse, Work Bench, Work Platform and several other specific support tools.
