Welcome to the Future of Support Tools,
The saw sawhorse, workbench and work platform were used to build the pyramids and are the same today as they were back then. Each has a specific purpose and a universal design. Each also has its limitations and those limitations dictate their usefulness or when it is time to gather dust in the corner of a garage.
Let me introduce to you the ‘ROCK HORSE’ and some of its multiple uses:
- Saw Horse
- Workbench
- Work platform
- Sheetrock holder
- Free standing shelving
- Work light stand
- Fence post
- Free standing tool peg board
- Solar panel support frame
- Modern industrial table
- Hammock
- Exercise equipment and bar bell support rack
- Footbridge
- Potting table
- Boat landing catwalk and more.
I asked an acquaintance of mine who is a retired Army General and is very knowledgeable about Government and Military Operations to review my invention that I call “Rock Horse”. He felt that these are some of the not so obvious potential uses: Disaster Relief Operations, Overseas Contingency Operations, Forestry Service, and the National Park Service.
Truthfully I wasn’t expecting that analysis but it showed me that different people can see uses for my “Rock Horse” that are not obvious to me. This is a beautiful and simple fact about the “Rock Horse” it is highly adaptable for many uses.
I showed the Rock Horse to a manager at a new car dealership and he told me to let him know when they are available because he wanted a set for his body shop. He said it would be perfect for holding large items to paint such as a car hood.
Versatility is what makes the Rock Horse so unique. It is highly adaptable, strong, light weight, easy to transport and quick to set up.
Simply put the Rock Horse is likely the most flexible and simple support stand design that can meet the needs for a multitude of jobs.
Here are some of the reasons the “Rock Horse” will be the Superstar of Support tools.
- Rock Horse support stand height adjustments of 12”, 24”, 30”, 33”, 36” and 48” with the ability to go lower or higher depending on the frame size needed for the job. Other height adjustments can simply be drilled into the frame.
- The ability to expand or contract a working surface quickly and with great stability when linked together with a simple 2×4 of nearly any length.
- Flexibility in the parameters of the design size and angles as well as the materials used are built into the utility patent.
- Both horizontal and obtuse material support.
- A multiple angular design creates two point loads, the work weights that are carried are directed downward through an obtuse column supported by a vertical column and not pushed backwards or cantilevers forward.
- The Rock Horse has the ability to be linked one to another which instantly aligns and creates a square structure by sliding a 2 x 4 through the perpendicular cross foot. This also controls twisting or torsion forces giving the support stand a great amount of stability and aids in leveling.
- The Rock Horse is strong. Two Rock Horse stands supported two 2x12x8’ planks and bagged concrete and have been tested to 1,200 lbs. at 12, 24 and 36 inch heights.
- They are easy to handle and store when not in use.
- A Rock Horse support stand can be built out of many different materials i.e. steel, aluminum and wood are just a few possibilities.
Here are some of the accessories that are available:
- Different size extension arms with locking pins.
- Ripping sleeves to protect the extension arms from coming in contact with a saw blade.
- Mud pads for soft ground and for underwater footbridge support.
- Wire insulators, fence rope, fence wire, worm gear clamp and mesh wire fencing, also wood or metal fence post attachment liner and steel stakes.
- Hammock and frame extensions.
- Electrical multi outlet power bar and bar attachment hardware that attaches to the verticle support.
- Telescoping multiple goose neck light.
- Pegboard and tool hooks.
- Footbridge and platform fiberglass grates.
- Caster wheels and wheel frame for mounting the casters.
- Footbridge rope extension supports also these extensions are used to support a pegboard and for platform railing.
- Scalloped barbell holders.
- Rubber and felt pads used to protect soft floor surfaces.
- Electrical extension cord holder with bar attachment hardware.
- Specifically engineered attachments when used in an unusual application. Visit our photo gallery to see some of the field tests that the“Rock Horse” has been used in.
